Following the reveal of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s final DLC fighter — it’s Sora from Square Enix’s Kingdom Hearts series, in case you missed it — Nintendo revealed the most crucial detail: what Kirby will look like when he assumes Sora’s form.
On the Nintendo Versus Twitter account, Kirby as Sora was revealed to have glorious anime RPG hair, and a little magical keyblade (seemingly in Firaga, Thundaga, and Blizzaga forms) to intimidate his opponents. It would appear that Kirby, unlike Mario, is not a true keyblade wielder.
It’s both heartwarming to see Kirby as the star of Kingdom Hearts, but likewise bittersweet to realize that we won’t get any more Smash Bros. forms for the lovable pink puff for the foreseeable future. Sora is Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s last remaining DLC character, after all.

Smash fans will get their hands on Sora Kirby on Oct. 18, when Nintendo will release Challenger Pack 11 featuring Sora, the new Hollow Bastion stage, and nine Kingdom Hearts songs for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
