Call of Duty: Warzone received a new update on November 4, which brings a few small fixes in the patch notes and gives players a brief glimpse of the recently announced Warzone Pacific map called Caldera. The new map will arrive with Vanguard’s Season 1 of content on December 2, but players can now view it in Verdansk by using a Red Door.

Warzone’s Red Door feature mostly works the same as before. These are the bright red and randomly spawning doors that emit a humming effect when close by. Interacting/opening one of these doors leads to a hallway of Red Doors, and there are usually 3 or 4 Red Doors in the corridor. All but one of the doors has a lightning effect around it, and players want to choose the one without lightning to get transported to a secret room filled with loot. Now with the update, players who use a Red Door will get a brief look of the Caldera map as they warp to the secret room.

Content creator Geeky Pastimes tweeted a good example of the warping view of Caldera. Additionally, he posted a YouTube video that shows Red Doors are falling from the sky. This seems to only happen near the end of a match, and players don’t take damage if a door lands on them. The door just disintegrates upon impact.

The update didn’t seem to add anything to Verdansk’s WWII bunkers, even though the Call of Duty: Vanguard launch event revealed a cinematic trailer that tied a WWII bunker in Verdansk to a brief reveal of Warzone Pacific’s Caldera map. Maybe new Easter eggs or secrets will be added to the bunkers when one of Verdansk’s final events starts up later this month with Vanguard’s pre-season content.

The update brought a handful of fixes to Warzone. Most importantly, Raven Software corrected an issue causing the Ghost Perk to not work correctly. The patch notes also address an issue causing players to get kicked from the Favorite Operators menu.

The full patch notes can be found below, as shared by Raven Software.

Call of Duty: Vanguard launches on November 5 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, and PC. The new game will launch as Activision Blizzard faces a lawsuit from the state of California over alleged harassment and discrimination against women.
