Respawn Entertainment has revealed Apex Legends Season 11 is titled Escape, as well as the identity of the next legend coming to the game. The latest Stories from the Outlands video reveals that Ash, a simulacrum pilot first seen in Titanfall 2, will be the new legend. Simulacrums are robots with mechanical bodies and human minds–like Revenant. There is a new submachine gun coming to Apex Legends in Season 11 as well, and Respawn also announced that the Season 11 reveal trailer will be released on October 21.

What Time Does Apex Legends Season 11 Start?

EA and Respawn have announced that Apex Legends Season 11: Escape, will launch on November 2 across all platforms. Season 10’s battle pass is currently set to end on November 1, so there will be a less than one day gap between seasons. Seasons in Apex Legends typically last about three months, so Season 11 should last into February 2022. Season 11 will include a new ranked split, and battle pass, just like previous seasons. Respawn said the full Season 11 reveal trailer will release on October 21.

What To Expect From Season 11

Season 11 will bring a new character to Apex Legends, Ash. Best known for being an antagonist in Titanfall 2, Ash isn’t exactly new to Apex Legends since Respawn has been teasing her as a possible character since Season 5. Ash also currently serves as the announcer in Arenas, although that could change when she joins the Apex Games. Ash is the simulacrum of Horizon’s former assistant Dr. Reid, who betrayed Horizon and trapped her in a black hole for 87 years, as seen in Stories From The Outlands – Promise. Respawn hasn’t yet revealed what kind of legend Ash is yet, however, several pieces of art feature her wielding a sword.

Escape will bring a new weapon to Apex Legends, and just like Ash, it’s from Titanfall. The C.A.R. SMG is expected to sit somewhere between the R-301 and the R-99, offering more damage than the R-301 at the cost of fire rate and range. The weapon was featured in both Titanfall and Titanfall 2.

Respawn is also teasing what is either a new map or a map overhaul. The Season 11: Escape website currently has a blank spot labeled “A Storm is Brewing” which might be hinting at a new tropical map. The section’s description reads, “no matter how beautiful it seems, every corner of the Outlands is a dangerous place. You’d be wise to remember that.” This line does not seem to reference any of the current maps and the battle pass logo at the bottom of the page features tropical leaves, which aren’t currently found on any of the maps. The most recent map, Olympus, was added in Season 7 and World’s Edge was added in Season 3, so a new map for Season 11 would match the current cadence of Respawn adding a new map to Apex Legends in the final season of each year of the battle royale game.

Apex Legends’ Halloween event, Monsters Within, is live now through November 2.
