Tanks aren't needed, nor should they be used, in raids. | |||||||||
Landisel | Bruiser - Self-Heal | B | B | - | - | - | A | Healing provides minimal mitigation and requires ATK build. | 100% anti-heal, great damage as the only tank that gains survivability from building ATK items |
Leora | Tank - Area CC | S | S | - | - | - | A | Squishy, barrier is passive, A1 easily interrupted | OK AoE CC, DEF debuff. Best mitigation of all tanks from passive barrier. |
Reina | Tank - Barrier | S+ | S+ | - | - | - | S+ | Only on-demand CC is A2 (long cd). Doesn't self-buff with PL | Massive shield on A1 (almost as big as Leora's). Taunt is a massive 10s, ult is huge and strips all buffs |
Sophia | Tank - AoE-Barrier | S | A | - | - | - | S+ | A1 is tiny, barrier is poor for own survival. Passive crit only. | DEF debuff, shared barrier. Passive barrier incredible for PvP (but bad in PvE, being crit is rare) |
Varos | Bruiser - Area CC | A | B | - | - | - | A | Squishy, little mitigation, terrible on auto. Overextends heals | Does OK if micro'd, large rectangular stun on passive. CC immune during ultimate duration |
Verulian | Tank - Self-Barrier | S+ | S+ | - | - | - | S+ | Small circular, 20s CD, stun passive | Basically everything else. Reflect barrier great at spreading damage, low CD |
Vyle | Tank - AoE Pull | S+ | A | - | - | - | S+ | Only survivability is 20s cd passive, basically an ult-bot | 2 target pull on Ult, A1 knockdown right after pull hits both pulled targets |

Crystal | ST - Sustain | B | B | B | A | B | A | Can get CC'd out of A1, leaving her stranded. High A2 CD | Shared crit buff, almost 90% potential uptime. Wide area ult. Low CD backline buff steal, CDR PL |
Deshua | ST - Sustain | S | S | B | S+ | S+ | S | RNG, small circular passive. Mediocre dmg. Backline PL | Low CD, ST nuke. Large area ult with fair chance for burn, given high dmg |
Feiren | AoE - Sustain | B | B | B | B | C | A | Underwhelming ult, disappointing kit depth for her low dmg | Great ATK + Crit rate passive uptime, crippling ST A SPD slow |
Lilith | ST - DoT | S | A | A | S+ | S+ | A | RNG DoTs, channeled ult. No benefit from own PL | High sustained damage potential in extended encounters. 5s charm. Flat DMG PL |

Rua | AoE - Burst | B | B | B | A | A | B | Channeled ult? Yikes. Low performance despite good looking kit | Low CD, high DMG ST rear nuke. Large area AoE, shared ATK buff, crit DMG PL (???) |
Seiji | AoE - Burst | S | S+ | B | A | A | S | Needs a teammate that synergizes with dead allies | Incredible pay-off from combo (Buffs + Ult -> Active skills) if micro'd. High damage in AoE situations |
Shukiring | AoE - CC | A | S | C | B | C | S | RNG cc % (why?) on A1. Usually low dmg output. | Ult labeled small but can float entire enemy side. High AoE damage potential over time.PIERCE PL! |

Terry | AoE - Sustain | C | B | D | C | C | D | Sad ult damage for slow charge time. High CD on sole AoE | RNG ATK buff is potent, ult has great coverage |
LYN: The Lightbringer Tier List: Marksman

Aki | ST - Anti-Heal | S+ | S | S+ | S+ | S+ | S | Would have much more potential if not for defensive passives | Surprisingly potent amounts of damage and just a step below Shine on ST + value from anti-heal |

Kriton | AoE - Area DMG | S | S | B | A | S | A | Most skills are channeled, CC/moving destroys DPS due to CDs | Good AoE damage if he's not cc'd (addt'l damage gear required), high ATK self-buff and flat DMG PL |
Shine | ST - Burst | S+ | S | S+ | S+ | S | S | Ult is small circular, no benefit from own PL | Disgustingly high damage w/ passive, buff removal and high DEF debuff |
Vekki | AoE - Rear-Attack | A | S | A | B | B | A | Damage can be unimpressive early, lower enhance | A great backline attacker, especially with CC. Great for killing mage/archers. Shared crit buff, flat DMG PL |
Winry | ST - CC | A | B | A | A | A | A | Low damage, relatively high cooldowns. Crit buff is short | Good sustained damage, self-crit buff (too short) with baked in flat damage. A. SPD PL! |

Aleista | ST - Anti-Heal | B | B | A | B | B | B | Same as Difrancis with but with a small rectangular A1 | K-Mart (budget) Difrancis, Crit DMG PL |
Difrancis | AoE - Anti-Heal | A | A | B | B | S | A | Poor sustained damage | Anti-healing on several abilities, replaced Fenrir as the most ideal tank killer after her rework |
Fenrir | ST - Rear-Attack / AH | S | A | S | S | S+ | S | Positioning is dangerous. Needs to 'warm up' crit buff. | Excellent uptime on anti-heal, high single target damage, backline targeting, self-ATK buff. |
Garibaldi | AoE - Area Attack | B | S | B | C | C | S | Same as all other warriors - prone to death due to positioning | Impressive AoE damage, possibly the highest of the warriors besides Ignis. A1 has impressive reach. |
Grimhilde | ST - Execute | B | B | B | B | S | B | Her positional will probably get her killed | Execute' character. Perfect for finishing hard to reach, low health characters. BIG Ult |
Hayes | AoE - Area CC | S | S+ | A | B | B | S+ | Almost none. Damage is relatively low | Pull is an active skill, all other actives are large area CC's. Toot toot. |

Tao | AoE - Rear-Attack | B | A | B | B | C | B | His positional, lack of kill potential will get him killed | Great disruption through CC, buff removal. Good AoE pressure, good ATK self-buff |

Airen | Healer - ST | S | S | A | A | B | S | Inflexible positioning. All healing is HoTs (burst is a counter) | Full-party ATK buff, strong HoTs, and solid uptime CDR debuff. Most well-rounded healer. |
Lyn | Healer - ??? | S+ | S+ | S+ | S+ | S+ | S+ | No buffs or CC but it doesn't matter because of her healing power | 10s AoE Debuff immunity, double recovery % up buff, circular active heal (rare, op), huge heal #'s |

Tia and Tiren | Support - Off-Healer | S | S+ | S | S | S | A | Passive is RNG on proc, target. Small circular ult. | Double A SPD buff (ult + A2). Ult buff is incredibly potent for AoE effect. |

LYN: The Lightbringer F2P/Low-Pay-2-Play Guide
1. Reset Marathon (Rerolling)
Don’t waste time rerolling. The more you play this game you’ll realize that this is a balance destruction game (the nerfs/buffs will keep overturning your chars). Just because it’s an Ancient, doesn’t mean you can’t overcome the gap. As long as you get 1-2 of the following epics, just start:
- DPS: Seiji, Deshua, Shukiring
- Healer: Airen, York
- Melee: Hayes
Windry + Leora’s rare-rank is a lie, so no matter what make them 6* (Unless you have Verulian, Vyle, Yurieh, Shine, Loki)
2. Diamonds
- Diamonds are for rolling, good or bad whenever you have enough, just roll.
- Some say single pulls/900 diamond pulls are better but at the end of the day, it’s all your luck.
3. Do all the dailies
Make sure you do ALL the dailies you can within the day. The most important are the essence dailies, even if your CP is 30K, and you think you cant handle the Hard rank at 40K, just try first. Based on your team comp it can work or fail, you can always try the next one.
Raids give good gear so that’s essential too.
4. Coin Shop
Wings & essences. Wings, and Wings, Wings, Wings. If you really need to buy something, buy gold, blue essences, skillstones, divine essence (you can get gold if you buy divine essences and sell them)
5. Make sure you finish 9-10 Easy and get into NORMAL
Don’t be one of those that are like “no matter what I’m gonna get 3* from each map and move on!” These guys will never get anywhere. Just get to normal asap and grind for essences to make your chars 6*. This game is all about essences.
6. Combination Evolution/Grade
- MAX+MAX level => next star grade
- Same rarity + star grade => random char of same rank
- Rarity is RNG
Just follow your heart and think very well. Purely RNG
7. Positioning
Lastly, we are using everything based on high dmg dealers.
Ie: 1 tank, 1 heal, 3 DPS. I don’t like using too many tanks and too many healers. Either do 1 tank 1 heal 3 dps or 1 tank 2 heal 2 dps. A healer needs sub+main.
- Main healers: Lyn
- Next: Micilin
- Next: Airen
- Sub-healer: Miriam
- Next: York
- DPS: Yurieh, Seiji and Shukiring are the hottest these days
- Next: Shine, Loki
- Next: Windry, Aki, Deshua, Lilith
- Tanks: Verulian
- Next: Vyle
- Next: Leora/Sophia
If you don’t have ANY OF THESE: Just pray to the gods for better rolls.
In collusion this game is just about waiting for Wings and farming Essences and hoping for luck. Don’t be sad about not having Legendaries/Ancients.
Either way based on the fact that it’s a “balance destruction” game, it’s all so-so. All character will eventually shine in their own light.
