The Pokémon Company will stream a new Pokémon Presents showcase on Wednesday, promising updates on a number of projects, including Nintendo Switch games Pokémon Brilliant Diamond, Pokémon Shining Pearl, and Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
Pokémon Presents will stream on the official Pokémon YouTube channel, starting at 9 a.m. EDT/6 a.m. PDT on Aug. 18. The broadcast will run approximately 28 minutes, according to the description of the Japanese-language livestream.
Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl are coming to Nintendo Switch on Nov. 19. The remakes of Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl, which were originally released on Nintendo DS in 2006, will feature modern visuals, a “faithfully reproduced” original story, and updated game mechanics.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus will also send Pokémon trainers back to the Sinnoh region, but for a very different experience. Pokémon Legends: Arceus will be part action, part role-playing game, and it will be set in a distant past. Legends: Arceus is heading to Nintendo Switch on Jan. 28, 2022.
Other Pokémon projects in development include Pokémon Sleep, a mobile version of free-to-play MOBA Pokémon Unite, and a new Detective Pikachu game for Nintendo Switch.
