Kim ‘Alarm’ Kyeong-Bo, a rising star in the Overwatch League playing flex support for the Philadelphia Fusion, has died at the age of 20.
The Fusion confirmed Kyeong-Bo’s passing in a tweet on the team’s official account, saying the organization was “devastated and heartbroken” by the news. “Alarm was the heart and soul of the organization,” the post read,” and our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends as we mourn this tragic loss.”

Kyeong-Bo joined the Fusion in 2018 as part of the org’s developmental team Fusion University, joining the main Fusion roster two years later. He was named the Overwatch League’s Rookie of the Year for the 2020 season, chosen as a Role Star–the OWL’s equivalent of an All-Pro team in the NFL or Gold Glove winners in Major League Baseball–and earned a nomination for Most Valuable Player.
Multiple personalities from across the Overwatch League have shared their grief for Kyeong-Bo’s passing on social media, including host Soe Gschwind, caster Mitch “UberShouts” Leslie, and commentator Alex “Goldenboy” Mendez.
Other teams from the league also shared support, including the 2021 world champion Shanghai Dragons, the Los Angeles Gladiators–who Kyeong-Bo faced in his final Overwatch League appearance–and the Houston Outlaws.
My deepest condolences to his family and everyone whose life he's touched. I am heartbroken and utterly gutted…there are just no words for such a tragedy. May he rest in peace 🙏🏼
