Nintendo Switch owners can now watch their favorite streamers both on the big screen and in handheld mode with the release of the Twitch app. The Twitch app is available to download for free through the Nintendo eShop offering most of the features available on Twitch’s website.
Users can sign in to their account to see all of their followed channels, browse through live broadcasts, watch VODs and clips, and, most importantly, do all of that while in handheld mode, as long as they have an internet connection. Twitch was previously available on both Xbox and PlayStation consoles, but Nintendo has seemingly been picky when it comes to streaming services on its platform.

The Nintendo Switch still does not have an official Netflix app, but at least now you can use Nintendo’s console to watch your favorite streamers. The Switch also recently got the Pokemon TV app, an entire app dedicated to the Pokemon anime and movies. This new app comes a month after Twitch suffered a massive security breach where internal documents, including streamer payouts, were leaked. Twitch reported that no user login or payment information was stolen.
