This announcement comes amid a flurry of activity within the overall GoT franchise. This week alone, Steve Conrad (Patriot, Perpetual Grace LTD) was announced as writer and executive producer of the prequel series Tales of Dunk and Egg, and more on the spilled-tea side of things, a new book about HBO has revealed that Game of Thrones creator George R.R. Martin was unhappy with the original series’ final three seasons.
In addition to the newly-announced series, there are many other spin-offs in development. The first, House of the Dragon, is expected to debut on HBO in 2022.
If you’re not so sure about traveling abroad at the moment, stateside readers can also consider making the pilgrimage for an overnight stay in the house Home Alone was filmed in back in 1990.
