Volition Entertainment and Deep Silver released a brand-new look at gameplay for the new Saints Row reboot, while also confirming the game’s new August 23 release date.
The trailer showed many of the different locales of Santo Ileso, including a desert area along with the cityscapes fans are expecting. The trailer also showed off a slew of toys for creating mayhem, including wingsuits, new vehicles, and plenty of guns. Two notable additions are an electronic barrier for quick defense, and a fighter jet that can zip between high-rise buildings throughout the city.

We also get a first look at some of the rival gangs the Saints will be facing in Santo Ileso, including the tough-looking Los Panteros, the nightclub-inspired Idols, and the military police-looking group known only as Marshall. The Saints can be seen doing battle with all three in the trailer, each with their own signature loadouts, abilities, and tactics.
The new Saints Row was first unveiled at Opening Night Live 2021 in June, a full reboot for the franchise that hadn’t seen a full game release since Saints Row IV in 2013. This new take on the series was originally slated for a February 2022 release, but the game was delayed to “the second half of 2022” in November before receiving the new August 23 date at The Game Awards..
