In Fortnite Chapter 3, one recurring daily challenge you may receive is to destroy Slurp barrels to restore health and shields. You’ll need to do this for 200 total HP, and each Slurp barrel gives you 10 HP. But with the convenient Slurpy Swamp now missing from the new Fortnite Chapter 3 map, there’s no central hub where you can quickly find lots of Slurp barrels. However, that doesn’t mean you’re completely at a loss. Here’s how to quickly boost your health and shields with Slurp barrels for this challenge.
Fortnite Slurp barrel locations
You won’t find 20 Slurp barrels together in any spot on the island…
To start, you can’t find more than three to six Slurp barrels in any one area on the island right now, which means you can’t quickly complete this challenge at any one location. Gas stations tend to have about five Slurp barrels behind their stores within a small chain-link fence area. But at best, you’ll still need to find more than that.
Somewhere on the perimeter on the island–it’s docked in a different spot in every round you play–is a ship with more Slurp barrels on deck. This is the best place to look for Slurp barrels, as it houses more than a dozen of them. The tricky part is locating it, because not only does its location change with each round, the ship also doesn’t even appear on your map. You’ll need to look for it before you drop out of the Battle Bus, then descend onto the water-based pawnshop to find ample Slurp barrels.
…but traveling to this ship is the ideal way to find abundant Slurp barrels.
Even these won’t be enough to get you 200 HP (because there aren’t 20 on the boat), but it’ll be your best start possible. From there, you’ll want to head to the nearest gas station to finish off the quest and earn your daily XP. Remember, each daily challenge is worth 750 XP on its own, but the first three you complete every single day go for extra–15,000 XP each to be precise.
Knowing where this elusive boat is docked can be the key to completing this quest quickly. Keep an eye out for it just off the shores of Artemis and you’ll be fully slurped in no time.
