New footage of Marvel’s Moon Knight has been released via USA Today, in advance of the miniseries’ upcoming March 30 release on Disney+. The clip is part of a larger feature by the publication also featuring reflections on the show from many of the series’ stars.

Moon Knight takes us into the world of Marc Spector, a man who lives with dissociative identity disorder and suddenly finds himself with the powers of an Egyptian god. Or, as executive producer Grant Curtis told USA Today, “It’s a story about identity and finding one’s true self… The journey that Marc Spector is on during our whole show is: Who am I? And how do I reconcile portions of my past, present and potential future that I don’t necessarily agree with? Coming to terms with our baggage and learning to live with ourselves is what we all deal with on a day-to-day basis.”

This MCU comic adaptation stars Oscar Isaac, Ethan Hawke, and May Calamawy. Isaac plays Marc Spector, Hawke plays villain Arthur Harrow, and Calamawy plays Layla El-Faouly–a woman from Spector’s past. Additionally, Gaspard Ulliel portrays Anton Mogart / Midnight Man, Lucy Thackeray portrays Donna, Grant’s co-worker (one of Spector’s other identities), and F. Murray Abraham voices the Egyptian moon god Khonshu.

Added Hawke in the USA Today piece, “[There isn’t] a tremendous amount of iconography already attached [to Moon Knight]… We were able to create something free of too much expectation.”

Moon Knight was directed by Mohamed Diab and the duo Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead. Umbrella Academy’s Jeremy Slater leads the writing team for Moon Knight.

The six-episode series will premiere on March 30 and run through to May 4.
