Legendary actor Bill Murray says he will appear in a new Marvel movie, and people believe its Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Speaking to the German newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine (via Deadline), Murray let slip, “You know, recently I made a Marvel movie.”

Murray said of the movie’s director, “I got to know the director–and really liked him very much. He was funny, humble, everything you want from a director.” But who is the director? Murray went on to reference the cheerleader movie Bring It On, which was directed by Ant-Man’s Peyton Reed, who is coming back for Quantumania. So there you have it–it sounds like Murray has a role in the next Ant-Man film.

“With the cheerleader story Bring It On he made a movie years ago, which I think is damn good. So I agreed…” Murray said.

We don’t know what role Murray might play in the new Ant-Man movie, if he is indeed appearing in it, but the Caddyshack star made it clear he doesn’t plan to play the character again.

“Now I’ve at least tried out what it’s like to shoot a Marvel movie,” he said. “But I don’t think I need that experience a second time.”

Quantumania is set for release in 2023. Paul Rudd is coming back to play Ant-Man again, while Evangeline Lilly is returning for portray the Wasp.
