Call of Duty’s Haunting event is live, bringing spooky modes, horror-themed operator skins, and a brand-new submachine gun for both Black Ops Cold War and Warzone. Here we’ll show you the different ways you can unlock the LAPA submachine gun.
How To Unlock The LAPA
The LAPA is a full-auto submachine gun that is part of the Haunting event rewards, and just like the Sai weapon reward from the Numbers event, you must complete one of the two sets of event challenges to unlock the weapon for free.
The Haunting includes a set of nine Black Ops Cold War challenges that can be completed in either multiplayer or Zombies. Warzone also has a unique set of nine challenges to complete, for a total of 18 challenges and 19 rewards to earn during the event. Completing a full set of nine challenges in either game will unlock the LAPA submachine gun and reward and 5000 XP.

Additionally, you can purchase a cosmetic weapon blueprint of the LAPA in the in-game store. The Terrible End bundle contains the Abnormality blueprint of the LAPA. The bundle also includes a weapon charm, finishing move, calling card, sticker, and two battle pass tier skips. The Terrible End bundle is priced at 1,200 COD Points, which equals a little over $10.
It’s worth noting that buying the bundle means you only get the attachments that come equipped with the weapon blueprint. You’ll still need to complete a set of challenges in either game to unlock the base weapon, as this is what will allow you to customize the LAPA with your preferred attachments.
The Haunting event is set to scare players until November 2, with Call of Duty: Vanguard releasing on November 5 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on Battle.net.
New Call of Duty content continues as Activision Blizzard faces a lawsuit from the state of California over alleged harassment and discrimination against women.
