New Jurassic World: Dominion footage was shown at CinemaCon–the annual convention of movie theater owners–and showed first look at the reunion of Laura Dern as Dr. Ellie Sattler, Sam Neill as Alan Grant, and Jeff Goldblum as Ian Malcolm. This will be the first time the characters have been together since the first Jurassic Park movie.

Variety is reporting that the Dominion footage was preempted by a vintage behind-the-scenes look at the original movie with director Steven Spielberg brandishing an iconic prop from the first movie–the cane topped with an amber-frozen mosquito, used in the original film by Richard Attenborough’s character John Hammond. Although finished scenes featuring Dern, Goldblum, and Neill were limited, the actors appeared in interviews and talked about returning to their iconic roles.

In Jurassic Park: The Lost World, only Goldblum returned; with Jurassic Park 3, only Neill and Dern reprised their roles. Dominion is the first time the three have all come back. Now, it was confirmed a while back that they would join Dallas Bryce Howard and Chris Pratt for another misadventure, and fans have been clamoring for their reunion for years now.

Jurassic World: Dominion was the first tentpole film to successfully complete production during the pandemic. Universal Filmed Entertainment Group chairman Donna Langley and her team, who set up new safety protocols that were widely used in ongoing productions.

Jurassic World: Dominion is scheduled to hit theaters on June 10, 2022.
