We got a new look at some of pink squishball Kirby’s new powers in Kirby and the Forgotten Land at the February 2022 Nintendo Direct presentation. The new gameplay trailer revealed all of the new forms Kirby could take on by absorbing random objects around the environment, like traffic cones and cars, giving Kirby different powers from his normal enemy copy abilities. The normal copy abilities can be upgraded at a Waddle Dee shop once the village expands enough in the game. As the copy abilities get upgraded, they become even more powerful and evolve in appearance as well.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land is a 3D platformer that appears to take a more open structure than some previous Kirby games. A recent trailer gave us a better look at some of his powers, including the new Drill and Ranger powers. Forgotten Land also features co-op, with a second player controlling a Bandana Waddle Dee.
Kirby and the Forgotten Land is coming on March 25.
Wednesday’s Nintendo Direct also brought news about a new kart racing game called Disney Speedstorm, as well as a Front Mission remake, and No Man’s Sky for Nintendo Switch.
