A new clip from The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf has been released. The animated spin-off from the hit fantasy series The Witcher hits Netflix on August 23.
The clip shows Vesemir, the legendary Witcher of Kaer Morhen, preparing to train some of the young, upcoming Witcher kids. The children aren’t happy about the conditions that Vesemir has them living under, but he explains that the world beyond the walls of Kaer Morhen holds nothing for them. With his training, they can find “strength, purpose, respect, and a chance at surviving the very horror waiting out there.” Check it out below:

The new Nightmare of the Wolf clip follows a recent trailer. The series is co-produced by Witcher showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich and director Kwang Il Han, and written and produced by Beau DeMayo, who was also one of the writers on the live-action series.
Vesemir is voiced by Theo James, who played Hector in Netflix’s Castlevania and voiced Vesemir in the first season of the live-action show, though he did not actually appear on-screen. The cast also includes Graham McTavish as Deglan, Lara Pulver as Lady Zerbst, and Mary McDonnell as Tetra.
The Witcher Season 2 arrives on Netflix in December, with the live-action prequel The Witcher: Blood Origin expected in 2022. Outside of the TV series, a new Pokemon Go-style game called The Witcher: Monster Slayer is out now, while The Witcher 3’s new PS5 and Xbox Series X|S edition will launch this year.
