Nintendo is finally delivering us a sequel to one of the Wii’s best games. During the February 2022 Direct, Nintendo revealed Switch Sports, a follow-up to Wii Sports. If you have fond memories of the original version’s tennis and bowling games, then you are going to be very happy with Nintendo Switch Sports.
Like its predecessor, Switch Sports delivers a bunch of different sports to play, all of which are played with motion controls. For soccer, it has limited kicking support, as well, which will be expanded after launch. A golf game will also be added as a free update. Six games will be included initially, and unlike the original Wii Sports, Nintendo Switch Sports will feature online play so you an compete against friends and random challengers.

The highlight of Switch Sports is volleyball, a sport that video games have consistently not done a great job of delivering… unless you’re considering Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball.
