Ubisoft has released Rainbow Six Siege’s Year 7 Season 2 update, which introduces the new Belgian Operator, a team deathmatch map, and more.
Operation Vector Glare introduces the attacker and strategy expert named Sens. This Operator’s kit includes the R.O.U. Projector System gadget, which deploys a wheel that constructs a wall of light that blocks players’ line of sight.
Sens is a low-speed, high-health Operator who also carries new weapons, including the POF-9 or a 417 as a primary weapon and an SDP 9MM or a GONNE-6 as a secondary weapon.
Alongside the introduction of Close Quarter, the new map exclusive to team deathmatch mode, phase one of the new Reputation System brings the privacy mode and reverse friendly fire sanctions, as well as match cancellation updates. Two onboarding tools have also been added: Shooting Range, which is designed as a place to practice, and Operator Guides, which will inform players about each Operator and offer strategies.
Certain Operators have also received a third slot for their secondary weapons and an option in the settings has been added to adjust screen shake intensity.
Additionally, the Squad Up Reactivation Program also arrives with Operation Vector Glare and will allow players to invite up to four former teammates who have not played during Year 7. Playing five matches together in any PVP game mode will earn both players rewards, while players inviting their former teammates will earn rewards for each of their four friends completing the program.
For Year 6 Operators, these include new exotic weapon skin or other fallback rewards including Battle Pass points if they already own those Operators. Players who return and play five matches will also unlock a Year 4 or Year 5 Operator or other rewards.
