Following the settlement of her lawsuit against Disney/Marvel over Black Widow, it’s now been revealed that Scarlett Johansson is making another film with Marvel. But it’s not connected to Black Widow. Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige said during an event where Johansson received the American Cinematheque Award that she is working on a “top secret Marvel Studios project.”
This project is unrelated to Black Widow, according to Deadline. Feige did confirm, however, that Johansson will be a producer on this project, whatever it might be. During a speech, Feige sung Johansson’s praises for her talent and vision as an actress and producer.
“Scarlett has lent her talent and star power to the Marvel Cinematic Universe for over a decade. That she’s chosen to play a key part in it for so many years, I am extremely grateful for,” Feige said. “Working with [her] has truly been one of the most memorable and rewarding collaborations of my career.”
Johansson’s lawsuit against Disney was settled earlier this year, with the actress taking home $40 million, according to reports.
“I’m happy to have resolved our differences with Disney,” Johansson said in a statement. “I’m incredibly proud of the work we’ve done together over the years and have greatly enjoyed my creative relationship with the team. I look forward to continuing our collaboration in years to come.”
We’ll report back with more details on Johansson’s new Marvel movie when they come to light.
