Hot on the tails of the announcement of Super Robot Wars 30, BANDAI NAMCO has announced that they’re bringing the game to western gamers on PC via Steam on 28 October 2021.
This marks the first time that Super Robot Wars has seen a western release in ten years. It also marks the first time that third-party licensed IPs will see an inclusion in a western release of the game. Some of them include Mobile Suit Gundam, Mazinger Z, Mazinkaiser, Getter Robo, and SSSS.Gridman.
Where the announcement only included the PC release of the title, the game is also seeing a release on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in Asia and Japan. As of the time of this writing, BANDAI NAMCO has not made any comment about the release of the PlayStation 4 and Switch versions for North America.
Super Robot Wars 30 is the thirtieth entry in the series and it’s definitely great seeing it make a return to western gamers. Now if only BANDAI NAMCO would announce the PlayStation 4 and Switch versions as well, we’d be in an absolutely perfect situation.
Super Robot Wars 30 is set to release on 28 October 2021 for PC on Steam.
