In Fortnite, Shadow Ops is the newest NPC to arrive on the island, and she brings with her five new quests totaling 150,000 XP. You can earn it yourself by working through her new punchcard and completing each challenge for the first time. If you’re wondering where to find Shadow Ops in Fortnite–or perhaps where to find a Guardian Tower, since you’ll need to soon after meeting her–here’s all you need to complete her quests.

Fortnite Shadow Ops Location And Quests

Shadow Ops has set up in the southernmost building within Lazy Lake. If you recall from last season, it’s the same place where Marigold was. Drop in and speak to her to initiate her Impromptu Tactical questline, which contains the following five quests:

  • Visit a Guardian Tower (1) – 30,000 XP
  • Collect light ammo, medium ammo, and shells (3) – 30,000 XP
  • Cause shotgun damage to Cube Monsters in The Sideways (150) – 30,000 XP
  • Get a headshot with a pistol (1) – 30,000 XP
  • Eliminate an opponent with an SMG (1) – 30,000 XP

Visit a Guardian Tower like this one north of Misty Meadows to complete one Shadow Ops quest.

To visit a Guardian Tower, you’ll need to head to one of the six places where you can find them around the map. We like the one north of Misty Meadows the best because it offers the most nearby loot. You won’t need to scale it, just get close enough for the challenge to be checked off.

To collect light ammo, medium ammo and (shotgun) shells, you need only to explore for a while. Ammo isn’t scarce, so just check chests and ammo boxes until you luck into carrying a bit of all three ammo types. If you started your questline at the Guardian Tower we mentioned, heading into Misty Meadows should be a quick way to find all of the ammo types you need as it’s loaded with loot.

Take your shotgun ammo and find a shotgun too, then head into a nearby Sideways Zone or Sideways Anomaly and deal shotgun damage to the Cube Monsters who reside inside these dimensional rifts. 150 damage in total is all you need, which should only be 1-3 monsters depending on which class of creature you run into first.

To get a headshot with a pistol, you need only to connect with one headshot. It won’t kill any enemies at full health, but if you’re quick, that’s a good thing, because ideally you could then swap to an SMG and get an elimination with it to complete the final challenge in Shadow Ops’ questline.
