We’ve known about Apex Legends’ newest champion for more than a week, but Respawn has only just now unveiled his exact ability kit. The reveal came as part of the character’s new introduction trailer, which continues the trend of making Seer look fantastic in all his previews.
Just as Respawn had previously announced, Seer is all about gathering information for his team and using his micro-drones to track enemies. His Passive ability allows him to find enemies by their heartbeats, while his Tactical ability will seek out nearby enemies and even interrupt them if they’re doing something important. Finally, his Ultimate ability will place a dome over an entire area that reveals anyone running or shooting inside it.
While Seer is definitely the highlight of Apex Legends season 10: Emergence, he isn’t the only addition. The season will also include a big update to the World’s Edge map, as well as Ranked Arenas and the new Rampage weapon.
Seer will be released on Aug. 3, along with all of Apex Legends’ other season 10 updates. But before his full release, here’s a look at all of Seer’s abilities and their official descriptions:
Passive — Heart Seeker
Hear and visualize the heartbeats of enemies within 75M when aiming down sights.
Tactical — Focus of Attention
Summon micro-drones to emit a delayed blast that goes through walls, interrupting and revealing enemies.
Ultimate — Exhibit
Create a sphere of micro-drones that reveal the location of enemies moving quickly or firing their weapons within.
