Elden Ring’s weapon selection may be gigantic, but it’s the ones with cool weapon skills and intriguing aesthetics that really steal the show. One such armament is the Winged Scythe, a Faith-based weapon with a cool move set that can be obtained very early in your adventure. If you’re hoping to reap some enemies with this bad boy, we’ve got you covered with where to find it.

Winged Scythe explained

The Winged Scythe is a reaper weapon that requires 16 Strength, 16 Dexterity, and 24 Faith to wield. It’s a solid option for any Faith build due to its high damage and long reach.

Using the Winged Scythe’s weapon skill Angel’s Wings will cause you to leap into the air for a flashy and brutal slashing attack. Even if it’s not the strongest weapon skill in the game, the visual spectacle of the attack is nevertheless very appealing.

The Winged Scythe’s item description reads:

Sacred scythe resembling a pair of white wings. Deals holy damage. According to pagan belief, white-winged maidens are said to be Death’s gentle envoys.

Where to find the Winged Scythe

The Winged Scythe can be found at the Tombsward Ruins in Weeping Peninsula. This area of the game can be accessed almost immediately upon leaving the tutorial, so if you’re wanting to rock the scythe for the entire game, it can be grabbed without much of a hassle. Due to its relatively high stat requirements, though, it may be a bit before you can actually wield it.

Tombsward Ruins

Approach the ruins and look for a staircase leading down into a dark room. Inside the room is a treasure chest containing the Winged Scythe. With the armament now in your possession, you can be the holy reaper you’ve always dreamed of becoming.
