There are enough spells in Elden Ring to make your head spin, and finding them all will no doubt prove to be a long quest. Obtaining Fia’s Mist–a niche late-game sorcery–will require you to travel through multiple challenging biomes and tackle an unusual boss fight. Read on to find out where it’s located.

Fia’s Mist explained

Fia’s Mist is a sorcery that requires 23 Intelligence and 18 Faith to use. It releases a mist near the caster that builds up the Death status on other players (though it won’t work on any non-player enemies). Due to its unconventional stat requirements, it’s best used only for niche builds that are aiming to make use of other similar spells.

Fia’s Mist’s item description reads:

Sorcery of Fia, the Deathbed Companion. Creates a deathly mist before the caster, which inflicts Death blight upon those who enter. This sorcery can be cast while in motion. Charging enhances range of the mist. This sorcery was developed to oppose the Roundtable Hold, and is effective only against the Tarnished.

Where to find Fia’s Mist

Fia’s Mist is obtained by killing Fia’s Champions at the end of Deeproot Depths. From the Nameless Eternal City Site of Grace, you’ll see plenty of massive roots leading up past some immobile gargoyles. Take them all the way up to find another Site of Grace and a giant room with an ugly monster seemingly stuck in the wall. Approach this area to trigger a fight.

Fia’s Champions

The Fia’s Champions boss battle is a string of fights against NPC invaders. The first and second invasions will be one-on-one fights, but the final invasion will summon three NPCs at once. If you’re using melee, your only option is to try to separate the invaders and get in hits when you can. Magic users should have an easy time here by either using AOE attacks like Glintstone Arc or simply firing single-target magic at each invader until they die.

Once Fia’s Champions are defeated, you’ll earn Fia’s Mist as a reward, so get out there and use that nastiness.
