Pokémon Legends: Arceus will introduce a new type of creature — Noble Pokémon — which “seems to hold power not held by regular Pokémon,” and players will also encounter the newest addition to the Pokédex, Kleavor, as they try to free the Nobles from the mysterious frenzy afflicting them.

A new trailer on Tuesday morning further explains these and other details in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Kleavor, a Bug/Rock-type Pokémon, is one of the nobles that players will encounter and battle. Noble Pokémon are assisted by wardens, a type of caretaker/trainer charged with seeing to their daily needs and making sure no one disturbs the powerful monsters.

Kleavor’s vitals, per a news release Tuesday morning from The Pokémon Company:

Kleavor

Category: Axe Pokémon

Height: 5ʹ11″

Weight: 196.2 lbs.

Type: Bug/Rock

Kleavor is an evolution of Scyther whose body parts have hardened into stone. You can tell how battle-hardened your opposing Kleavor is by how chipped its stone parts are. A Kleavor that has survived many battles “will display larger chipping across their bodies,” The Pokémon Company said.

Other new details in Pokémon Legends: Arceus: Trainers will acquire the Celestica Flute on their adventures, which allow them to ride Wyrdeer, Basculegion, and Hisuian Braviary across land, water, and the skies, respectively.

Hub world Jubilife Village also features several amenities and facilities. Players may leave Pokémon they have caught in Jubilife Village’s pastures, allowing them to optimize their traveling party of six as they head out for surveying work. Pasture-ized Pokémon can be swapped into the party at any base camp out in the field.

Jubilife Village will also offer a clothier and hairdresser, so trainers may mix and match their outfits and hairstyles, and a photography studio where they can take snaps of their new look alongside their Pokémon. There is also a general store and craftworks to allow players to stock up on their supplies, or create their own from recipes and materials,

Pokémon Legends: Arceus launches Jan. 28, 2022 for Nintendo Switch.
