DC’s The Batman is now streaming on HBO Max. After Easter and Passover, may your celebrations continue with a day given over to the Caped Crusader.

Here at GameSpot, we scored the film a 6/10 in our The Batman review. Reviewer Mason Downey wrote, “This is a Gotham that is both familiar and new, grounded and somehow completely bizarre. If The Batman has one major masterstroke that should be replicated in future live-action adaptations, this is it.” You can check out the rest of the critical opinions out there in our review roundup.

The Batman is directed by Matt Reeves (Dawn of the Planet the Apes) and stars Robert Pattinson as Batman. The rest of the cast includes Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as The Riddler, Colin Farrell as Penguin, Andy Serkis as Alfred, and Jeffrey Wright as James Gordon.

Whether you’ll be watching it for the first time on streaming or you’re gearing up for a rewatch, the next big milestone date for the superhero film is May 24–when the movie will be available on Blu-ray. The 4K Blu-ray will feature a substantial amount of extra content including multiple behind-the-scenes featurettes detailing the development of the film, deleted scenes, and how several characters were reimagined for the film. Among those deleted scenes is one giving viewers a hint of the relationship between The Batman and his arch-nemesis, the Joker.
