Sniper Elite 5 now has a release date, while developer Rebellion has also announced the game’s Season Pass for players looking to stock up on extra content after launch.

Sniper Elite 5 launches on May 26 across Xbox One, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC. As announced previously, the Xbox version is included with Xbox Game Pass from day one.

A new trailer is out now, showing off more of the main story and characters players will encounter. The game puts players into the military boots of Karl Fairburne, a soldier who uncovers a Nazi plot, Operation Kraken, that could give the Axis powers an edge.

“Karl has to use all of the skills at his disposal to gather intelligence about the plans and make sure they never come to fruition. This will pit him against the scheme’s mastermind, Abelard Möller, an Axis Obergruppenführer, who must be stopped at any cost,” reads a line from the game’s description.

As for the Season Pass, this is included with the game’s Deluxe Edition and it comes with a two-part campaign expansion coming after launch. The DLC adds “extensive maps” that include an “expanded armory” of World War II weapons, as well as weapon skins.

Sniper Elite 5 Season Pass

  • Two Campaign Missions
  • Two Weapon skin packs
  • Two Character Packs
  • Six Weapon Packs

Rebellion did not say if the Season Pass will be available outside the Deluxe Edition.

Additionally, everyone who preorders Sniper Elite 5 gets a new mission in the Target Führer campaign called “Wolf Mountain.” In this mission, players sneak into Hitler’s mountain retreat, the Berghof, in an attempt to murder the Nazi leader in the “most imaginative way possible.” The Berghof is protected by heavily armed guards, so this will be no easy task. Those who preorder also get the P.1938 suppressed pistol.

In addition to its campaign, Sniper Elite 5 has an “Invasion Mode” that lets players drop into other’s campaigns, taking on the role of an Axis sniper trying to kill the other player. There is also a more-traditional multiplayer mode where 16 players can square off in sniper battles.
